TENTERDEN MUSEUM SPECIAL EXHIBITON
Kent: The Garden of England
The Tenterden Museum's special exhibition this year features gardens in Kent. The exhibition looks at the history of gardens locally, including some of those of local "big" houses including Hales Place, Heronden, Homewood, Great Maytham and the Grange, among others. The exhibition will also document the history of the Horticultural Society. The exhibition will feature a different theme for each month.
On 15 April your chairman, Cathy Dalton, will give a short talk about the Horticultural Society at 7pm in the Museum.
Museum Plant Sale
On Saturday, 15 April the Society held a mini plant sale at Tenterden Museum to coincide with the opening of the Special Exhibition which features the Horticultural Society. We sold plants which are ready now but would be too far developed for the Annual Charity Plant Sale. This was a very successful event and we raised £260 for our charities.
