Annual Charity Plant Sale
Each year on the Saturday of the late May Bank Holiday the Society holds a plant sale to raise funds for local charities. This year the plant sale will take place on the 27th of May. Most recently the society has supported: Kench Hill Centre, The Vicar's Trust, Porchlight, The Old School House Larder, The Hub, Pilgrims' Hospice, Marie Curie and EC30. The sale usually raises between £4000 and £5000 each year.
This year's Charity Plant Sale was a roaring success. We made £3838.60 for our two chosen charities. Many thanks to all those members who grew plants for the sale, bought plants at the sale and helped out on the day. Many, many thanks to Tesco for letting us use their forecourt to hold the sale.
